Tell us what YOU say about the CTC!

“The CTC offers enthusiastic and incredibly enjoyable workshops where all ages get to combine their skills whilst learning new ones to eventually create an exceptionally polished performance year on year with only 2 weeks to achieve everything." Emily, aged 18

"The CTC has given me experience not only in performance but also in communication and making friends - which I can take and use everyday. The Wiz 2010 was a great opportunity for all of us. Bridie and Emma worked really hard and put so much effort into making the show fantastic and giving everyone a chance to shine in their own way. I hope the CTC goes from strength to strength. Also, I think it's cool the CTC has Zoe Tyler as a Patron. :D” Kathleen, aged 14

“…I have for the past few years been a frequent visitor to a variety of local productions and was fortunate to come across the Childrens Theatre Company.  The thing I would like to mention most is that I found myself lost in the shows…I put this down to the spirit and professionalism of the production - it was totally captivating.  The cast were well drilled, lighting/sound were as good as any but once again the thing that stood out a mile was how the productions were completed without a hitch and smiles were abundant on the cast, who I actually envied for the fun they were obviously having up on the stage! “CTC allows people who have a flair for drama an opportunity to showcase what they enjoy. Not only does it develop and widen performance skills but it allows new friendships to be made. Bridie puts all her effort into making sure that each performance is enchanting and engaging but more so enjoyable for those acting it. CTC has allowed me to develop in confidence and have an amazing time acting with people I have found new friendships with.” Maddie, aged 17

“What I love most about CTC is that everybody has a chance to take part in the performance. Most people have about 3-5 roles to play, be it in the ensemble or a lead role. Most theatre companies do not offer this. In CTC I have learnt many things, from diction and spacing to breaking out of your shell and trying new, crazy things. I've done this course 3 times, and can vouch for Bridie and her company being tip-top splendid :)” Rosie, aged 19

“The opportunities I have been given at the CTC have been ones that have really helped me in what I enjoy doing. I have made so many new friends whilst working hard and having fun to build up to a fantastic performance at the end of two weeks! The opportunity to perform, learn, have fun and meet new people is a brilliant one that I'd definitely do again!” Kerry, aged 16

“I think that the CTC workshops are amazing because they have given me the courage to perform in front of loads of people which is something I never thought I would be doing. Also as well as all the practicing we get to play games. By the end a brilliant performance is put on within the space of two weeks, which is unbelievable! In the end it is all worth it and I hope to be doing CAMP ROCK this year." Megan, aged 11

“I had the great pleasure of being a part of the very first CTC production and it's an experience I would leap at again in a heartbeat, given the chance. From start to finish it was brilliantly run, the teaching was fantastic and choreography was flawless. The effort and passion that Bridie and everyone else involved put in was and still is a credit to themselves and the CTC as a company. I am certain that the CTC has bright and wonderful prospects ahead and I for one will most certainly be attending every production in the many theatrical and glamorous years to come.” Joe, aged 19
